Panasonic to Shed Light on SIP Phones, SIP End Points at ITEXPO East 2012January 19, 2012
By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor
For the past three years, Panasonic (News - Alert) has joined thousands of industry leaders at the world’s largest communications event and this year is no exception. In less than two weeks, the SIP phones company will head East to Miami, Fla., for ITEXPO East 2012, taking place from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3. “We participate in ITEXPO (News - Alert) because we want a place to showcase our extensive range of communication solutions which offer businesses reliable, flexible and affordable telephony options,” Bill Savino, marketing manager for Panasonic, told TMCnet. “ITEXPO is an ideal place to showcase our innovative communication products to key decision makers at businesses, both large and small.” Panasonic, a gold ITEXPO sponsor that will be exhibiting at booths 828 and 316, has a lot to be excited about for this year’s trade show, particularly since the SIP end points company recently unveiled its KX-UT670 phone, the industry’s first SIP open source-based operating system desk phone. The phone allows for integrated solutions to be developed for business communications and operations. Panasonic’s most recent SIP launch features a seven-inch touch screen and allows users to take advantage of the open-source based operating system which allows for application development for various vertical markets. “For instance, users in the hospitality industry can develop a menu app for the phone which will allow users to order room service with the simple touch of the screen,” Savino said. “We want booth attendees to realize the reliable, flexible and cost-effective communication solutions that Panasonic can offer to their business.” In addition to spreading the word about its latest SIP phone, Panasonic’s focus at ITEXPO will also be on emphasizing its communication solutions for small and large businesses. Accordingly, it will be demoing its extensive line-up of SIP telephony solution products at its booths including the KX-TGP series and KX-UT series. When asked what else Panasonic hopes to take away from ITEXPO, Savino said customer feedback. “Although Panasonic has done an excellent job in identifying what works and what doesn’t for various target markets, we are always happy to hear from consumers to gain better insight into our customers’ wants and needs,” he said. “ITEXPO gives us a chance to meet face to face with business leaders and companies that we may not have otherwise have had the chance with which to speak.” For those that visit Panasonic’s booth, officials hope that the message that resonates is that the company, a leader in the small business telephone market, offers reliable, flexible, cost-effective communication solutions that fit its customer’s business needs. “We want ITEXPO participants to better understand the vast range of business communication products that we offer,” Savino said. “From telephony systems to HD Visual Communications, we are effective solutions for any type of business environment.” So what else is Panasonic looking forward to with regards to ITEXPO? “ITEXPO gives us a great platform to meet a wide range of potential new customers, so we are looking forward to forging new business relationships,” Savino said. “We are also eager to show the entire range of business communications solutions that we offer- when clients and potential new clients see the vast range of products that we offer, it helps them understand the truly customizable solutions that they can get from Panasonic products.” Panasonic is a Gold sponsor of ITEXPO East 2012.
